Williams Debuts 2025 FW47 in Valentine's Day Shakedown at Silverstone
The Williams FW47 has made its debut at Silverstone, marking an early launch and shakedown of the team's 2025 Formula 1 challenger.
Carlos Sainz, fresh from his move from Ferrari, took the first stint behind the wheel, completing initial installation laps on wet tires in cool but largely dry conditions. The Spaniard reported that the car performed as expected during its first runs.

The FW47's early track appearance represents a significant improvement from the previous season, when the team struggled with late car completion and chassis availability. This year's car hits the track over 10 days before pre-season testing begins in Bahrain.
For the Valentine's Day shakedown, the car features a special blue and black livery. The official 2025 race livery will be unveiled at the F1 75 event in London next week.

Team principal James Vowles describes the FW47 as an evolution of last year's design, with specific focus on improving high-speed corner performance. The launch event also highlighted the team's new title partnership with Atlassian, which Vowles suggests could be one of Formula 1's largest sponsorship deals.
Alex Albon is scheduled to test the car later today, completing Williams' initial running program at Silverstone.
