
Super DIRTcar Series Returns to New Egypt for Historic 16th Battle
The Super DIRTcar Series returns to New Egypt Speedway for its 16th appearance on Saturday, March 29, featuring a 75-lap main event with a $7,500 prize for the winner.

Dirt track racing event at speedway
The historic D-shaped oval in Ocean County hosted SDS events regularly from 1998 to 2014, with Bob McCreadie winning the inaugural race. After a decade-long break, the series returned in 2024.
Notable SDS Winners at New Egypt:
- Matt Sheppard leads with three victories (2014, 2007, 2005)
- Billy Pauch Sr., Billy Decker, and Tim Fuller each have two wins
- Single winners include Brett Hearn, Alan Johnson, Keith Hoffman, Rick Laubach, and Anthony Perrego
The 2024 event features defending champion Mat Williamson and Matt Sheppard, who seeks his 99th career SDS victory and 11th series championship. Other contenders include Stewart Friesen, Alex Payne, Alex Yankowski, and Ryan Godown.
