The next-generation Audi A7 and RS7 have been spotted testing ahead of their 2025 launch. This new model will effectively replace the current A6, aligning with Audi's new naming convention where odd numbers denote combustion-engine vehicles and even numbers represent electric models.

The new A7 maintains Audi's evolutionary design approach, featuring sleek LED headlights, a wide grille, and a more streamlined silhouette compared to its predecessor. Both saloon and Avant (estate) body styles will be available.

The RS7 is expected to feature either a V8 PHEV system similar to the Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid (producing around 680hp) or a new V6-based powertrain.

Launch timing:

  • Standard A7: First half of 2025
  • RS7: Later in 2025

This will be one of Audi's last new combustion-engine models, as the brand transitions to all-electric vehicles from 2026 onwards.
