
Short Track SuperNationals Returns to Historic Afton Racing Birthplace in 2025
The Short Track SuperNationals returns to Afton Motorsports Park, its birthplace, from 2025 through a three-year agreement between promoter Ron Ford and the Afton Fair Board.

The non-points event will take place October 10-11, with STSS Sportsman headlining Friday and STSS Modifieds leading Saturday's 16th annual event. The facility, located off Interstate 88 Exit 7, will feature Saturday night racing on American Racer tires.
Afton Fairgrounds has previously hosted the SuperNationals eight times (2006, 2014-2017, 2019, 2021, 2022). The event, known as the "Working Man's Race," began at Afton in 2006 under Brett Deyo's promotion when he was 23 years old.
Throughout its history, the SuperNationals has been held at four venues:
- Afton Motorsports Park
- Five Mile Point Speedway (Kirkwood, NY)
- Thunder Mountain Speedway (Center Lisle, NY)
- Utica-Rome Speedway (Vernon, NY)
