Starting from 10th position, Wilson navigated through the field in his No.00 Longhorn Chassis. A front-stretch pileup helped him advance from ninth to sixth place. He continued his charge, passing Zack Carley and Mark Whitener for second before engaging in an intense battle with Sam Seawright for the lead.

After Seawright retired with mechanical issues, Wilson faced a final challenge from former Sunshine Nationals winner Mark Whitener. Despite Whitener's aggressive moves, Wilson held on for the victory, giving the Longhorn Factory Team its first Late Model Palooza win.

"I was a little nervous, but I knew that I was really good," Wilson said. "The cars are great, this was my first time in this race car. That was the most fun I had in a race car in a really long time."

Mark Whitener finished second, while Zack Carley secured third in his first visit to Volusia. Jake Rainey and Michael Page rounded out the top five.

Race Highlights:

  • Quick Time: Skylar Marlar (16.651)
  • Last Chance Showdown Winners: Kaede Loudy, Layton Sullivan, Austin Yarborough, Mikey Kopka
  • Hard Charger: Wil Herrington (+29)

The 54th Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals will be next at Volusia Speedway Park, featuring the American Sprint Car Series and DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, starting January 30.
