Strategic Attack Mode usage proved crucial to Rowland's success, with his six-minute second deployment providing a significant advantage over Barnard's four-minute allocation. Jake Hughes completed the podium after an intense battle with Barnard in the closing laps.
Jake Dennis impressed with a remarkable drive from 19th to fourth, while Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne showed strong recovery performances to finish fifth and sixth from deep in the field. Jean-Eric Vergne, who had been in podium contention, ultimately finished seventh.
The race saw several notable incidents, including early retirements for Mitch Evans (brake-by-wire issue), Antonio Felix da Costa, and Maximilian Guenther. Sam Bird managed to secure the fastest lap despite an early 5-second penalty.
