Kush Maini topped the Rookie Free Practice Session at the Jeddah E-Prix, though the session's primary focus remained on gathering crucial data for Mahindra Racing's race preparations.

The session proved productive for Mahindra, with regular driver Edoardo Mortara later showcasing the team's potential by placing as the highest non-Nissan-powered car in FP1's top four.
Team principal Frederic Bertrand praised Maini's professional approach, highlighting how the rookie's data gathering on the new track would benefit regular drivers Nyck and Edo for the race weekend.
Despite his rookie status, Maini brings valuable experience as Mahindra's former reserve driver. This session marked his first time piloting the updated GEN3 Evo car, featuring four-wheel-drive and the enhanced 350 kW Attack Mode.
"It was fun pushing the limits, especially as we're first out on track, so there are no onboards and you're discovering a little bit," Maini reflected. "The main goal was to run the test to help Nyck and Edo this weekend. We ticked all the boxes we needed for the race team, and I'm happy with how the day went."
