The triumph marked several historic achievements: Nick Tandy became the first driver to win 24-hour races at Daytona, Le Mans, Nürburgring, and Spa-Francorchamps overall. Nasr secured his status as the first back-to-back Rolex 24 winner since 2022-23, while Vanthoor finally added an overall Daytona victory to his impressive endurance racing resume.

Porsche's dominance was evident throughout, with their 963s leading 517 of 781 laps. The No. 7 car accounted for 307 of those laps. The victory came after a spectacular battle in the closing stages, where Nasr executed a masterful overtake on Matt Campbell through the Le Mans chicane.

Meyer Shank Racing's return to IMSA proved successful, with Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, Scott Dixon, and Felix Rosenqvist securing second place in the No. 60 Acura ARX-06. Blomqvist maintained his perfect podium record at Daytona, passing Campbell's Porsche in the final minutes to claim the runner-up position.

The No. 6 Porsche team of Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, and Kevin Estre completed the podium in third. BMW showed promise with RLL's M Hybrid V8 finishing fourth, while Cadillac's best result was fifth with the Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R.

Notable incidents included Frederik Vesti's suspension failure in the Action Express Racing Cadillac and Louis Deletraz's dramatic crash in Turn 2. Lamborghini's debut with the SC63 ended early due to overheating issues, setting the stage for redemption at Sebring in March.

The race demonstrated the continued evolution of IMSA's GTP class, with tight competition and dramatic moments throughout the 24-hour endurance challenge, establishing new benchmarks in sports car racing excellence.
