The New Zealander faced significant setbacks last year, including a major crash at WEC 6 Hours of Spa and an incident at the 12 Hours of Sebring. He failed to reach any WEC podiums during Ganassi's final season with Cadillac.

"Sometimes you have years where nothing rolls your way," Bamber reflected. "But if you focus on the right details, you come out stronger as a driver and as a team."

For 2025, General Motors has expanded Bamber's role. He'll compete full-time in both IMSA with Cadillac Whelen (Action Express Racing) and WEC with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA. His only scheduling conflict will be missing IMSA's Laguna Seca race due to WEC commitments.

The team has brought in Frederik Vesti as a strong backup driver, while Jack Aitken takes on an increased role in the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R. Bamber praised Vesti as "an amazing talent" and acknowledged Aitken's impressive qualifying performances.

Cadillac has implemented a new collaborative approach between its racing teams. "There's a different approach this year, to work as one team," Bamber explained. "The most important thing is that Cadillac wins the race, whether it's the No. 10, 40, or 31."

Despite a challenging start to 2025, with crashes affecting multiple Cadillac entries at both IMSA and WEC events, Bamber remains optimistic. He points to Cadillac's achievements as inaugural GTP champions in IMSA and their podium finish at Le Mans as evidence of the program's potential.

"We've got a lot of talented people pushing the envelope," Bamber stated. "Sometimes when you have those hard years, you come out punching much harder. You know your weaknesses and how to rectify those."

Bamber will seek redemption at WEC Imola in April, but first aims for his second Sebring 12 Hours victory and Cadillac's sixth manufacturer win in nine years at the upcoming race.
