The exhibition will showcase several legendary vehicles, including:
- 1965 Ford Mustang RTR "Hoonicorn" from multiple Gymkhana films
- Two Subaru Imprezas from the first Gymkhana videos
- Porsche 911 SVRSR "Hoonipigasus" from the 2022 Pikes Peak attempt
- 1994 Ford Escort RS Cosworth "Cossie V2" rally car
- 1978 Ford Escort, Block's first rally car later modified for Gymkhana
To commemorate Block's impact, the museum will partner with 43 Institute for a special cruise-in event on April 5, following National Ken Block Day (April 3). The date honors Block's racing number, 43.
"Ken Block transformed motorsports content and captivated audiences with his high-performance cars and fearless driving, leaving a lasting impact on the automotive industry and pop culture," said Terry L. Karges, executive director of the Petersen Automotive Museum.
Lucy Block, Ken's wife, added, "This exhibit is such a meaningful way to celebrate Ken's legacy and I can't think of a better place than the Petersen to bring it to life. It's not just about the cars, it's about Ken's lasting impact and the inspiration he brought to motorsports and car culture."
The exhibit opens February 15 in the Petersen's Meyer Gallery and runs through October.
