IndyCar Helmet Cameras to Debut at Four Select Races in 2025
The miniature Drivers' Eye helmet camera system will debut in the 2025 IndyCar season as part of the series' new FOX Sports broadcast partnership. Initially planned for the entire 17-race season, the innovative camera system will now be featured in four select races.

Implementation Schedule:
- Initial testing planned for April's Acura Long Beach Grand Prix practice session
- Live race debut scheduled after Long Beach
- Potential appearances at Barber Motorsports Park and Indianapolis Grand Prix
- Expected showcase during the Indianapolis 500
The limited rollout allows the series and broadcaster to ensure smooth integration of the new technology while focusing on establishing their new broadcast partnership. Four drivers will be selected to carry the Drivers' Eye cameras during the designated races, offering viewers an unprecedented cockpit perspective of IndyCar racing.
The decision to scale back from a full-season implementation to four races stems from the desire to perfect the system's operation and integration into the broadcast before wider deployment.
