Jose Maria Lopez Steps In for Injured Ben Barnicoat at Sebring 12 Hours
Two-time FIA World Endurance Champion Jose Maria Lopez will step in for Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 at this weekend's Twelve Hours of Sebring. The substitution comes after Barnicoat sustained injuries in a mountain biking accident, with his return date currently uncertain.

The drivers are already familiar with each other as teammates in Akkodis ASP's FIA WEC Lexus program, where Lopez pilots the No.87 car while Barnicoat splits his time between IMSA and the No.78 WEC entry.
Lopez brings significant experience at Sebring, having won the final WEC 1000 Miles there in 2023 with Toyota Gazoo Racing. His previous Twelve Hours of Sebring appearance resulted in a sixth-place overall finish, driving a Cadillac DPi-V.R for Action Express Racing.
