Hendrick Motorsports Signs 19-Year-Old Dirt Racing Star Corey Day

Hendrick Motorsports has signed 19-year-old dirt racing sensation Corey Day to a multiyear agreement, backed by HendrickCars.com. The deal includes nearly 30 pavement races for 2025.

Rick Hendrick's decision came following recommendations from Kyle Larson and Jeff Gordon, who praised Day's exceptional talent and racing heritage. Day's rapid adaptation to pavement racing has particularly impressed the team.

The young driver's 2025 schedule includes:

  • 4 ARCA Menards Series races with Spire Motorsports (No. 77 Chevrolet):

    • Daytona International Speedway
    • Phoenix Raceway
    • Sonoma Raceway
    • Kansas Speedway
  • 8 Craftsman Truck Series races with Spire Motorsports (No. 7 Chevrolet):

    • Las Vegas Motor Speedway
    • Homestead-Miami Speedway
    • Martinsville Speedway
    • Bristol Motor Speedway
    • Rockingham Speedway
    • Nashville Superspeedway
    • Indianapolis Raceway Park
    • Darlington Raceway

Day's racing achievements include:

  • 2024: First pavement victory at Hickory Motor Speedway
  • 2023: King of the West 410 NARC championship winner
  • 2023: World of Outlaws Gold Cup Race of Champions winner
  • 2022: Chili Bowl Rookie of the Year
  • 2024: 10 wins and 25 top-10 finishes in 73 dirt starts (High Limit Series and World of Outlaws)

Additional plans for 2025 include select NASCAR Xfinity Series and Trans Am Series races, with specific dates to be announced.
