Brown brings extensive Formula 1 experience to JHR's two-car IndyCar operation, having engineered for legendary drivers like Ayrton Senna during his F1 career that began in 1981. His recent work includes roles with Bryan Herta Autosport's IMSA program and Porsche's IMSA Customer Support division.
"I'm delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team," said Brown. "The NTT IndyCar Series is fiercely competitive, and it's a challenge I am ready to embrace."
Team co-owner Brad Hollinger expressed enthusiasm about the appointment: "His vast experience in F1, as well as other forms of motorsport, will benefit the team from day one." Hollinger also thanked Touron for his contributions to the team.
Brown will work directly with race engineers Steven Barker and Allen McDonald. For the 2025 season, JHR has confirmed Sting Ray Robb in the No. 78 Chevrolet, with Romain Grosjean being considered to return in the No. 77 Chevrolet to complete the team's lineup.
