Allen moves up from the Xfinity Series, where he led the No. 20 team to eight victories with multiple drivers in 2024 and finished second in the owner's championship. His previous experience includes working as a race engineer with Adam Stevens, contributing to Kyle Busch's 2019 championship victory.

He replaces Chris Gayle, who transitions to Denny Hamlin's No. 11 team, while former Hamlin crew chief Chris Gabehart becomes competitor director at Joe Gibbs Racing.

In the Xfinity Series, Jason Ratcliff returns as crew chief for the No. 54 team, working with driver Taylor Gray. Ratcliff, who previously served as team/driver coordinator for Gibbs' Xfinity and ARCA programs, comes back to the pit box after stepping away in 2023.

Joe Gibbs expressed confidence in both appointments, highlighting Allen's successful track record and Ratcliff's extensive contributions to the organization. The moves demonstrate Joe Gibbs Racing's commitment to developing talent and maintaining strong leadership across their NASCAR programs.
