A sudden circuit breaker failure in the TV compound caused a widespread broadcast blackout during The Thermal Club IndyCar Grand Prix, affecting both television and radio coverage for approximately 15 minutes.

The outage occurred between laps 31 and 42 of the 65-lap race. During this time, FOX temporarily switched to NASCAR Cup race coverage from Homestead-Miami after running several commercials. The blackout impacted both domestic and international viewers.
While initial speculation pointed to the 90-degree Coachella Valley heat as the cause, IndyCar officials confirmed the circuit breaker failure as the root cause. The race was ultimately won by Chip Ganassi Racing's Alex Palou despite the broadcasting interruption.
