Two British drivers completed the final IndyCar test session of 2024 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Indy NXT champion Louis Foster and Toby Sowery took to the 2.2-mile road course, representing Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Dale Coyne Racing respectively.

Foster set the day's fastest unofficial time of 1m10.198s in the No. 45 RLL Honda during his 85th lap of 89 total. Sowery logged the most track time with 130 laps, posting his best time of 1m10.409s on lap 104.

The test was particularly significant for Sowery, who made up for a previously troubled session at The Thermal Club. After making three IndyCar starts in 2024 (Mid-Ohio, Toronto, and Portland) with a best finish of 13th, Sowery is working to secure full-time funding with Dale Coyne Racing.

"We ticked a lot of boxes, spent a lot of time in the car, did a lot of laps, all productive," Sowery commented. "The relationship between myself and the team is very strong and growing at a good solid rate." He acknowledged that while the driving aspect is progressing well, securing the business side of a full-time ride remains a work in progress.

This test marked the final on-track activity for the NTT IndyCar Series before the 2025 season.
