The 30-year-old Kansas native finished eighth in the 2024 Tour points standings, securing three top-five finishes and 10 top-10s in 29 starts. Despite having a National Tour victory at WaKeeney Speedway in 2022, Blurton acknowledges the need for improvement in his sophomore season.

Driving his Summit Automotive Group, Don Ott Racing Engines-powered Maxim Chassis No. 2J, Blurton's best 2024 performance came at Big Sky Speedway, where he finished second to Jake Bubak. As a family team with limited crew support, Blurton balances his racing career with a full-time job.

For 2025, Blurton's primary focus is improving his qualifying performance, which he identifies as crucial for overall race success. "Every night we qualified good, we had decent runs. The Qualifying is so important, and going out there and knowing that your car is right and being able to run two perfect laps is big," explains Blurton.

Key sponsors supporting Blurton's 2025 campaign include Summit Automotive Group, Lee Martin Racing, Grease Monkey, and Randy Patterson Welding, among others. The ASCS National Tour season begins at Volusia Speedway Park during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, January 30–February 1, 2025.
