Ricky Thornton Jr. secured his fifth Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory of the season at Hagerstown Speedway, claiming the Conococheague 50 and a $25,000 prize. This marks his first win at the historic track and his 47th career Lucas Oil victory, moving him to fourth place on the all-time wins list.

Thornton took the lead from Garrett Alberson on lap 32 and maintained it until the finish, crossing the line 2.984 seconds ahead. Alberson, who led the first 31 laps, finished second, while Daulton Wilson completed the Big River Steel Podium in third. Gregg Satterlee and Brandon Sheppard rounded out the top five.
"The crazy part is I felt like it hasn't been this windy all night. I was here a few years ago and gave one away on the last lap, so it's nice to come back and get a win," said Thornton, who previously lost to Tim McCreadie in 2021.
Thornton's Koehler Motorsports Longhorn Chassis, powered by a Clements Racing Engine, secured the victory through strategic driving in traffic. He became the 14th different winner in 15 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Hagerstown.
