As an experienced Forza player, Reddick faced an unexpected challenge when required to use a racing rig instead of his familiar controller setup. Despite this adjustment, he managed to set the benchmark time of 54.305 seconds at the fictional Maple Valley Raceway in wet conditions.

The challenge featured the 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex, a car Reddick has particular fondness for due to its prominence in the Initial D anime series. The track's flowing nature and challenging conditions required precise control and careful management of the car's attitude through corners.

Gamers can attempt to beat Reddick's time in the Rivals mode from November 28 through December 11. Reddick suggests using the ghost car feature to learn the optimal racing line and improve lap times.

For NASCAR drivers like Reddick, Forza serves multiple purposes during the off-season:

  • Maintains competitive drive
  • Helps practice racing lines and consistency
  • Provides opportunity to experiment with different vehicles
  • Offers a unique way to engage with motorsport when away from the track

This challenge marks the final installment of the Legend vs Leaderboard series, which previously featured Tony Stewart, Jamie Chadwick, and Jenson Button. It coincides with NASCAR's recent return to the Forza platform, which Reddick believes is significant for the sport's gaming presence.
