Tim McCreadie will honor his late father by racing with the No. 9 in the Lucas Oil Late Model Series for the 2025 season. The number holds special significance as it was the iconic number used by his father, Bob McCreadie, a Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame driver who passed away in May at 73.

The decision came through collaboration with Boom Briggs Motorsports, where McCreadie will compete following his departure from the Rocket Chassis house car team. McCreadie, a two-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion, will drive for the Rocket-affiliated, Briggs-owned team while Briggs reduces his own driving schedule for 2025.

"Everybody knew when McCreadie rolled in with the No. 9, it was one of the cars to beat," McCreadie reflected. "I can put this number on this car and every time we go onto the track, we can honor him as a father, a great race car driver, and a great family man."

The 50-year-old Watertown, N.Y. native's 2024 season included stints with Paylor Motorsports, Rocket Chassis house car team, and Viper-Big Frog Motorsports. This new partnership with Briggs Racing, supported by Rocket Chassis, aims to pursue another Lucas Oil title while keeping the McCreadie racing legacy alive.
