Team Penske President Cindric Steps Back to Focus on IndyCar Program
Team Penske president Tim Cindric will reduce his responsibilities to focus exclusively on the organization's IndyCar program after 25 years of overseeing all racing operations across IndyCar, IMSA/WEC, and NASCAR divisions.

In his new role, Cindric will serve as President of Team Penske's IndyCar operations while also managing the team's racing archives and historical assets. This change allows him greater flexibility at this stage of his career while maintaining his leadership in open-wheel racing.
The reorganization sees Michael Nelson continuing as President of Team Penske's NASCAR Program and Vice President of Operations, while Jonathan Diuguid remains Managing Director of Porsche Penske Motorsport. Both will now report directly to Roger Penske. Ron Ruzewski will maintain his position as Managing Director for the IndyCar team.
Cindric joined Team Penske in 1999 after running Bobby Rahal's IndyCar team. The son of renowned IndyCar engine builder Carl Cindric, he has led Penske's North Carolina operation to become motorsport's most successful multi-discipline team, securing championships across all series and victories in nearly every major racing event.
"I have lived my dream job for the past 25 years as the overall leader of the Penske Racing organization," Cindric stated, expressing gratitude to Roger Penske for understanding and supporting this transition.
