Sergio Sette Camara joins Nissan Formula E as test and reserve driver

Sergio Sette Camara has joined Nissan Formula E Team as reserve and simulator driver following his departure from ERT (now Cupra Kiro). The Brazilian racer will make his debut at the upcoming Sao Paulo E-Prix, working alongside race drivers Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato to develop the new Nissan e-4ORCE 05 GEN3 Evo car.

With 66 Formula E starts for Dragon/Penske Autosport and ERT over four seasons, Sette Camara's best finish was fourth at the 2021 Diriyah E-Prix. His racing credentials include three wins and 15 podiums in Formula 2, plus test driver roles with Toro Rosso, McLaren, and Aston Martin in Formula 1.

"I'm thrilled to join Nissan Formula E Team. With my experience, I can help maintain the team's momentum as we enter the GEN3 Evo era," said Sette Camara.

Tommaso Volpe, Nissan Formula E Team managing director, emphasized the strategic importance of signing an experienced driver: "His extensive knowledge will be crucial for race preparation, and his experience ensures we're prepared for any circumstances during the season."
