Bravi joined Sauber in 2017 as a board member and general counsel before becoming managing director in 2022. He later assumed the role of team representative in 2023, guiding the team through its transition from Alfa Romeo to Stake, ahead of becoming Audi's works team in 2026.

During his tenure, Bravi navigated both challenging and successful periods, including a difficult start to 2024 for Stake. His departure coincides with other significant leadership changes at Sauber, including Mattia Binotto's replacement of Andreas Seidl as Sauber Motorsport COO and CTO.

"It is an emotional time as my journey with Sauber reaches its end," said Bravi. "This organization went through exciting and difficult times alike, all without ever losing its spirit and its commitment. This team is a family and has a bright future ahead."

Binotto praised Bravi's contributions, stating: "Alessandro played a wide range of roles within the team, steering it through difficult and exciting times alike. He came to embody the essence of Sauber throughout the years."

This departure marks the second major Formula 1 leadership change in January 2025, following Mike Krack's move to a trackside role at Aston Martin and Andy Cowell's appointment as team principal. These changes allow new leadership to prepare for the 2026 regulation changes that could significantly impact team competitiveness.
