Racing at just 20 years old, Isack Hadjar joins Formula 1 as one of several rookies in the 2025 season, securing his seat at RB merely 86 days before the Melbourne opener.

The French-Algerian driver impressed during testing, with Christian Horner noting he outpaced Yuki Tsunoda in Abu Dhabi and describing him as "a raw talent that needs polishing."

Coming off a strong Formula 2 campaign where he demonstrated remarkable mental resilience, Hadjar bounced back from a 45-point deficit early in the season with a double win in Melbourne. Though he ultimately finished behind champion Gabriel Bortoleto, his performance caught Red Bull's attention.

Hadjar acknowledges the challenges ahead, particularly:

  • Adapting to F1 car performance with limited testing
  • Learning new tracks, especially during Sprint weekends
  • Managing expectations in a midfield team

The young driver remains realistic about his goals, focusing on quick adaptation and development. His ultimate target is clear: earning a seat with Red Bull Racing. "Since F3, they see you, they believe in you, and then make you do the next step. The program is working really, really well," Hadjar explains.

Among his most anticipated moments for 2025 are racing at Suzuka and sharing the track with Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari colors, embodying both his respect for F1's traditions and excitement for its future.

Hadjar joins a remarkable rookie class making up 30% of the 2025 grid, including Liam Lawson (Red Bull), Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), Ollie Bearman, Jack Doohan (Alpine), and Gabriel Bortoleto (Audi).
