The event will celebrate three racing legends:
- Mario Andretti: Four-time Long Beach winner who helped establish the race as a world-class event
- Al Unser Jr.: Record holder with six Long Beach victories (1988-91, 1994-95)
- Brian Redman: Winner of the inaugural 1975 Long Beach race
RRDC President Bobby Rahal will conduct a David Letterman-style interview with the honorees. The celebration takes place one day before the 50th Anniversary Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, the third race of the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series.
Proceeds will benefit:
- The Mark Donohue Foundation's SAFEisFAST initiative
- Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach's local charities
- Long Beach City College's Automotive Technology Program
"This event has become an icon of the sport," says Rahal, noting its rich history spanning Formula 1, Formula 5000, Trans-Am, and celebrity races. Grand Prix Association CEO Jim Michaelian adds that these racing legends "have inspired generations of drivers and fans alike."
The event will be open to the public, with registration details to be announced soon.
