Nissan and EVgo expand US charging network with 200 new DC fast chargers
Nissan and EVgo are expanding their electric vehicle charging infrastructure with 200 new DC fast chargers across the United States. This initiative directly supports the growing EV market and accommodates newer models like the Nissan Leaf e+.
These 100kW fast chargers will be strategically placed along major route corridors and in key metropolitan areas. The expansion builds upon Nissan and EVgo's six-year charging network partnership, which has already facilitated more than 1.2 million charging sessions.
This investment supports Nissan's broader commitment to vehicle electrification and sustainable transportation. The new chargers will help reduce range anxiety among EV drivers and make long-distance travel more practical for electric vehicle owners.
EVgo's fast-charging network currently serves more than 800 major cities across 34 states, while continuing to maintain a 98% uptime across all charging stations. The partnership between Nissan and EVgo represents one of the largest public EV charging networks in the United States.
The expansion will particularly benefit owners of the new Nissan Leaf e+, which features a larger battery capacity and extended range compared to previous models. This charging infrastructure growth demonstrates both companies' dedication to advancing electric vehicle adoption in the American market.
