Boles' immediate priorities include:
- Building stronger relationships with team managers and paddock personnel
- Understanding and prioritizing IndyCar's complex operational needs
- Leveraging FOX's new partnership to enhance marketing and promotion
- Addressing upcoming challenges like new car development and manufacturer agreements
- Balancing dual responsibilities at IMS and IndyCar
On his leadership approach, Boles emphasized hands-on involvement: "My plan is to get my hands dirty. That's certainly what I've done at the Speedway. Even though I wear a tie when I'm there, I'm out working with everybody."
Regarding the FOX partnership, Boles highlighted the importance of delivering on expectations. He's already building relationships with FOX executives, including Sports boss Eric Shanks, and exploring ways to maximize the partnership's potential.
The transition has been well-received within the paddock, with Boles noting overwhelming support through messages and conversations. He plans to maintain an office on the IndyCar side to better integrate with staff and operations while restructuring his IMS responsibilities to dedicate more time to IndyCar's growth.
Looking ahead, Boles will focus on immediate events like the St. Petersburg season opener while simultaneously addressing longer-term projects, including new car development and manufacturer relationships. His background in marketing, law, and team management positions him uniquely to guide IndyCar's next chapter of growth.
