The team returns stronger than ever, fielding two ARX-06 cars with an impressive driver lineup. The full-season roster combines veterans Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist with newcomers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly. For the Rolex 24, the team adds Felix Rosenqvist, Kakunoshin Ohta, Alex Palou, and Scott Dixon.
Team owner Mike Shank received the news of the reunion from HRC US president David Salters, describing it as an emotional moment. The team has retained nearly all of its 2023 engineering staff, losing only one person from their group of 23, while adding new talent to strengthen their operation.
The team operates under a unique model, with MSR leading engineering on one car and HRC leading the other. While the ARX-06 has received software updates since MSR's last IMSA race, the hardware remains largely unchanged, which should benefit the team's early-season performance.
Following successful testing at the Roar Before the 24, expectations remain high. Shank maintains confidence in the team's ability to compete for podium positions, demonstrating their commitment to excellence in their return to championship racing.
Their comeback represents more than just a return to racing; it's a testament to the resilience and determination of a team that has proven its worth in the highly competitive world of sports car racing.
