
Merced Speedway Launches USAC Midget California Series This Weekend
USAC's NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship returns to Merced Speedway for two nights of racing on November 22-23. The high-banked 1/4-mile dirt oval has hosted the series annually since 2020, consistently producing thrilling competitions.

Thirty-three drivers are set to compete, including five previous Merced USAC National Midget winners. Buddy Kofoid leads with two victories, while Logan Seavey, Carson Macedo, Tanner Thorson, and Justin Grant each have one win at the track. Grant holds the 30-lap track record of 6:14.350, set in 2021.
Notable contenders include Kyle Larson (Saturday only), current points leader Daison Pursley, and USAC Western States Midget Rookie of the Year Drake Edwards. The field also features first-time Merced competitors like Zach Wigal, Kale Drake, and five-time USAC Western States champion Ronnie Gardner.
