Following their 2024 constructors' championship victory, McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has set ambitious targets for 2025, aiming for both the drivers' and constructors' titles. Brown acknowledges the competitive nature of the field, noting that while McLaren believes they've made progress with the MCL39, the true performance hierarchy won't be clear until qualifying in Australia.
"Today is a big milestone in our journey in the fight for the 2025 title," Brown stated. "We believe we have made further steps forward since the championship-winning MCL38."

Team Principal Andrea Stella emphasizes that the 2025 grid is expected to be even more competitive than 2024. He highlights the team's learnings from last year's success and their continued collaboration with Mercedes HPP. The focus now shifts to maximizing pre-season testing before the season opener in Australia.
"Whilst we finished last year as champions, 2024 highlighted how highly competitive the grid is," Stella remarked. "We must keep focused to compete at the front in this tight field."
The team's immediate priority is to optimize their testing program and prepare for the first competitive session of the season in Australia.
