Lamborghini and Ford showcased impressive performance during the 2025 IMSA pre-season test at Daytona, marking the final official test before January's Roar Before the 24.

Key Highlights:

  • Lamborghini Iron Lynx's Romain Grosjean set the fastest GTP time with 1m35.611s (134.043mph)
  • Acura Meyer Shank Racing showed strong pace with Nick Yelloly and Tom Blomqvist
  • BMW M Team RLL dominated positions 5-9, led by Marco Wittman in the No. 25 BWM M Hybrid V8
  • Ford Multimatic Motorsports controlled GTD PRO class with Dennis Olsen posting the fastest time (1m47.822s)
  • In LMP2, CrowdStrike by APR's Malthe Jakobsen led with 1m38.635s
  • GTD class saw Porsche dominance with Elliott Skeer setting the pace at 1m48.221s

Notable Performances:

Cadillac teams focused on testing updates and familiarization, with Jack Aitken leading their efforts in 10th position. Porsche teams, including JDC-Miller MotorSports and Porsche Penske Motorsport, tested their 963s with 2025 updates.

Teams will now conduct individual testing programs until reconvening at the Roar Before the 24 on January 17, 2025.

Nick Yelloly (Acura): "Working with MSR has been fantastic. We've been ticking off everything on our program, preparing thoroughly for January."

Jordan Taylor (Cadillac): "Coming back to Cadillac and driving the new V-Series.R has been great. There's been a lot to learn, but we're getting a good head start."

Dennis Olsen (Ford): "We're working on all systems to prepare for the big one. The team communication between both cars is strong, and we're continuously improving."
