The 2004 Cup champion, who retired in August 2023 following a crash at Pocono in July 2022, has received medical clearance for his third ROC appearance. He'll partner with Travis Pastrana representing Team USA in the Nations Cup, followed by individual competition.

Busch's previous ROC appearances include:

  • 2014 at Barbados: Reached knockout stage in individual contest
  • 2017 at Miami: Finished second in Nations Cup with brother Kyle

"Race car drivers always push the limits to be the best," said Busch. "To receive another invite from Race Of Champions is a chance to go up against the best of the best from around the world."

Notable competitors joining Busch include:

  • Sebastien Loeb (9-time World Rally Champion)
  • Sebastian Vettel (4-time F1 World Champion)
  • Johan Kristofferson (7-time World Rallycross Champion)
  • Jamie Whincup (7-time Supercars Champion)
  • Valtteri Bottas (10-time F1 race winner)
  • Mick Schumacher (2020 F2 Champion)

Busch's NASCAR career highlights:

  • 776 Cup Series races
  • 34 wins
  • 2017 Daytona 500 victory
  • 2003 IROC Champion
  • 2010 NASCAR All-Star race winner
  • 2014 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year

"I'm so stoked that he has confirmed and we are going to do everything we can to win ROC Sydney for the USA," said teammate Pastrana, praising Busch's adaptability to different racing vehicles.
