Jack Beckman Claims Season-Ending NHRA Pomona Victory Along with Brown, Anderson and Smith

Jack Beckman secured a memorable Funny Car victory at the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series finale at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. He defeated teammate and newly crowned world champion Austin Prock in the final round, marking a dramatic end to the 59th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.

Beckman set a career-best time of 3.812s at 327.35 mph in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro SS, claiming his second win since taking over for John Force in August. This victory marks his 35th career win and came after defeating Terry Haddock, Blake Alexander, and Ron Capps en route to the finals.

In Top Fuel, Antron Brown overcame a 12th place qualification to secure victory. His journey included defeating points leader Justin Ashley with a 3.696s at 331.53 mph run in the opening round, followed by crucial wins over title contender Shawn Langdon and Brittany Force.

Greg Anderson claimed his sixth Pro Stock world championship, tying Erica Enders and Warren Johnson for second-most in the category's history. Anderson defeated KB Titan Racing teammate Dallas Glenn in the final with a 6.501s at 211.13 mph run.

Matt Smith concluded the Pro Stock Motorcycle season with a victory over world champion Gaige Herrera, running 6.702 at 202.12 mph. This marked Smith's second win of the season and 41st of his career, securing him second place in the championship standings.

The victories marked a fitting end to the 2024 NHRA season, which featured 20 races including six in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
