IMSA Champion Pipo Derani Signs with DXDT for 2025 Rolex 24
Two-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar champion Pipo Derani will join DXDT Racing for the 2025 Rolex 24 At Daytona, completing the team's line-up in the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R. Derani, who won Daytona overall in 2016, recently tested the car during IMSA's November Daytona session.

Derani's impressive career includes a DPi championship with Action Express Racing for Cadillac in 2021 and the inaugural GTP title in 2023. He'll step away from full-time IMSA Racing in 2025 to focus on developing the new Genesis LMDh car for its 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship debut and 2027 IMSA entry.
For the Rolex 24, Derani joins teammates Salih Yoluc, Charlie Eastwood, and Alec Udell in the No. 36 Corvette. This marks DXDT's WeatherTech Championship debut with a two-part GTD program: Yoluc, Eastwood, and Udell will run the Michelin Endurance Cup, while Robert Wickens and another driver will handle sprint races.
"I am excited to join DXDT," Derani said, noting his previous work with Erin Gahagan at Patron ESM. "DXDT had much success last year and has a promising new chapter in IMSA starting in 2025. I hope to contribute to their IMSA success."
Team owner David Askew expressed enthusiasm about securing Derani for the January event: "Pipo is a proven winner at this race and in this series. After watching him race and win in endurance races for the last decade, I know he has that special something to help us win this race."
The 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona, scheduled for January 23-26, will mark DXDT's inaugural WeatherTech Championship race after their successful run in Fanatec GT World Challenge America.
