Hughes leads rain-affected Mexico City Formula E practice for Maserati
Jake Hughes topped second practice for the Mexico City E-Prix in wet conditions that significantly altered the running order from Friday's first session. His Maserati MSG posted a 1m25.808s lap time - about 15 seconds slower than FP1 due to the damp track.
Nick Cassidy claimed second for Jaguar TCS Racing despite a late spin at Turn 15, finishing 0.157s behind Hughes. Pascal Wehrlein led a trio of Porsche-powered cars in third, followed by Andretti's Jake Dennis in fourth and Antonio Felix da Costa in fifth.

The top 10 was completed by:
- Nyck de Vries (Mahindra) - 6th
- Robin Frijns (Envision Racing) - 7th
- Stoffel Vandoorne (Maserati) - 8th
- Maximilian Guenther (DS Penske) - 9th
- Oliver Rowland (Nissan) - 10th
The mixed conditions resulted in a significantly larger spread between competitors compared to FP1, with the top 10 separated by 1.719s versus Friday's 0.628s gap. Only four drivers from Friday's top 10 maintained their positions in the leading group.
Further down the order, Mitch Evans placed 11th in the second Jaguar, while former champions Jean-Eric Vergne, Lucas di Grassi, and Sebastien Buemi filled positions 14-16. David Beckmann completed the field for Kiro.
