Currently sitting 11th in championship points, the Team Tedder/Monster Energy Racing rider has overcome several obstacles, including engine issues at San Diego and illness at Anaheim 2. Hill's recent sixth-place finish at Glendale showed promising progress, particularly with his start in the final main event.

"The biggest jump in the world is going from being really good to elite," Hill explains. "I might sound nuts, but I'm going to Tampa to win."

His confidence stems from previous success at Raymond James Stadium and recent improvements in his starting technique. Despite competing against factory teams, Hill maintains a strong mental approach that he believes sets him apart from his previous seasons.

Key factors in Hill's 2025 performance:

  • Improved starting technique
  • Strong mental preparation
  • Previous success at Tampa venue
  • Solid bike setup
  • Increased confidence levels

The veteran rider remains focused on continuous improvement, stating, "If I can just get a clean weekend again where I can put all the pieces together without any of these smaller issues, I have zero reservations about running away with it."
