The GLGT series will run alongside existing categories including GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC), RushSR Series, Track Battle Time Attack, and GRIDLIFE Drift. Each event weekend will include practice sessions, qualifying, and four 20-minute races.

Key features of GLGT:

  • 9:1 power-to-weight ratio (compared to GLTC's 12.5:1)
  • Table of Competition Balance system considering weight, power, tire size, and aerodynamics
  • Mini weekend championship format determining event winners
  • Focus on clean driving and competitive balance

"Ultimately, GRIDLIFE GT is a faster version of GLTC," explains Adam Jabaay, GRIDLIFE co-founder and motorsports director. The series builds on GLTC's success, which averaged 44 entries across 10 race weekends in 2024.

The inaugural GLGT season begins at the Midwest Festival, June 6-8, 2025. Beyond racing, GRIDLIFE continues to feature car culture elements including the Concours showcase, GRIDLIFE Arcade, and music performances.

GRIDLIFE aims to achieve similar competitive balance in GLGT as seen in GLTC, where top qualifying times have been separated by less than three-tenths of a second among the top 15 competitors.
