
Graeme Lowdon Appointed as Team Principal for Cadillac's 2026 F1 Entry
Graeme Lowdon has been appointed as team principal for Cadillac's Formula 1 team, set to enter the sport in 2026. The announcement comes from General Motors after Lowdon's two-year advisory role with GM and Andretti Global.

With extensive experience in Formula 1, Lowdon previously served as sporting director and CEO of Manor's F1 entries under the Virgin and Marussia names until 2015. He has also been part of Zhou Guanyu's management team.
"I'm truly honored to be appointed as the team principal of this exciting new team," Lowdon stated. "Formula 1 is the greatest team sport in the world, and teams are all about people. This is a team with a real love for racing, and we have the experience and expertise to do just that."
Daniel Towriss, TWG Global's motorsport business CEO, emphasized that Lowdon's broad experience in both F1 and motorsport was crucial to his appointment. The team has benefited from his technical and managerial expertise during the build-up of operations.
GM president Mark Reuss expressed confidence in the appointment, stating, "Graeme has been a pleasure to work with over the past two years and we're excited he will lead our journey to the 2026 Formula 1 grid as team principal. He has great racing expertise and knows how to assemble a high-performing team."
The Cadillac F1 team is currently awaiting final entry confirmation for the 2026 season, with development work continuing at pace under Lowdon's leadership.
