Ferrari works driver Davide Rigon will join Costa and Altoe for the remaining Michelin Endurance Cup events, following his performance at the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Altoe brings significant racing experience, having achieved success in Formula 4 and TCR racing in Italy before transitioning to GT racing in 2018. His achievements include winning the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Pro and Italian GT Championship titles, followed by the International GT Open Championship in 2019.
The Italian driver earned his spot with DragonSpeed through impressive performances, including a standout drive at this year's Rolex 24 with Conquest Racing's Ferrari GTD team and leading Conquest to a GTD PRO class victory at Road America in 2024.
DragonSpeed Team Principal Elton Julian expressed enthusiasm about the signing, noting Altoe's experience with the Ferrari 296 GT3 and compatibility with Costa and Rigon as key factors in the decision.
At the recent Rolex 24 at Daytona, the DragonSpeed team, featuring Rigon, Costa, Miguel Molina, and Thomas Neubauer, secured sixth place in GTD PRO with their yellow No.81 Ferrari, which was prepared in collaboration with Risi Competizione. Rigon is now set to begin his FIA World Endurance Championship campaign with Vista AF Corse in Qatar.
