CRSA Sprints Announces Key Rule Changes for 2025 Season

Sprint cars will undergo several important rule changes for the 2025 CRSA season, marking the series' 20th anniversary. Here are the key updates:

Technical Changes:

  • Weight requirement increased to 1550 lbs (including driver)
  • Manual wing sliders only
  • Fire suppression system recommended
  • World of Outlaws safety bars recommended
  • Titanium hardware allowed (max 1.125" diameter)

Tire Regulations:

  • Hoosier HTC RD15 18" (35 Duro) until August 1, 2025
  • Transition to HTC Med1 16" (46 Duro) begins August 1
  • Med1 becomes mandatory around September 1
  • No tire prep allowed except siping, grooving, or grinding

Race Format Updates:

  • Pill draw starts when registration opens
  • Top 8 in passing points qualify for redraw
  • New Elab Smokers Boutique Scramble Dash for positions 9-14
  • Double-file restarts until 2 laps remaining in heats
  • Double-file restarts until 5 laps remaining in B-Mains and A-Mains
  • Format to be reviewed after first four races

Points System:

  • Full points awarded for all events through September 6
  • Show-up points only after September 6
  • No race drops allowed
  • Miniseries maintain separate point structure

The series continues to welcome IMCA/RaceSaver members and remains under CRSA sanctioning for 2025.
