Chicago's Fast-Charging EV Network Finally Launches with NRG EVgo
Chicago's electric vehicle charging infrastructure has taken a significant step forward with NRG EVgo's fast-charging network now operational across the metropolitan area. This development comes after previous delays in the city's EV charging plans.
NRG EVgo has formed a strategic partnership with Chicago-based JNS Holdings Corp. to implement DC fast-charging stations throughout Chicagoland. The network will be integrated with Nissan's "No Charge to Charge" program, providing additional value to local EV drivers.
This expansion adds Chicago to NRG EVgo's growing list of serviced regions, which includes Texas, the Pacific Northwest, Phoenix, Nashville, and Washington, DC. The initiative represents a significant advancement in making fast-charging more accessible to electric vehicle owners in one of America's largest cities.
