The team has secured two prestigious drivers: Andre Lotterer and Pipo Derani, who bring extensive prototype racing experience. They will lead testing and development before racing in 2026.

Hyundai Motorsport will support the program, with Cyril Abiteboul serving as team principal. The team will operate from Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France, near ORECA and IDEC facilities.

Before its WEC debut, Genesis will participate in the 2025 European Le Mans Series' LMP2 class, partnering with IDEC Sport. This entry features drivers Logan Sargeant, Jamie Chadwick, and Mathys Jaubert, preparing the team for top-level competition.

Track testing for the GMR-001 is scheduled to begin in summer 2025, marking Genesis' ambitious entry into international endurance racing.
