In a strategic engineering reshuffle, Ross Bunnell moves from Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) to Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) as race engineer for Felix Rosenqvist's No. 60 Honda. Bunnell, widely regarded as one of IndyCar's top engineering talents, previously engineered Scott Dixon's No. 9 Honda at CGR, securing three wins and a championship runner-up position in 2023.

The move is part of MSR's technical alliance restructuring, with Angela Ashmore following Marcus Armstrong from CGR to engineer MSR's No. 66 Honda. Bunnell has already begun his new role, engineering Logan Sargeant during testing at The Thermal Club.

Neil Fife joins as MSR's liaison engineer with CGR, bringing extensive experience from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and MSR's IMSA GTP program. Fife will also engineer Helio Castroneves for the Indianapolis 500 while overseeing development projects.

Mike Shank, MSR team owner, expressed confidence in the new engineering lineup, particularly noting the strong existing relationship between Armstrong and Ashmore. The technical alliance with CGR has shown promising early results, with smooth integration during testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and The Thermal Club.

The partnership marks a transition for MSR, who previously maintained a five-year technical alliance with Andretti Autosport. Early collaborations between MSR and CGR have demonstrated effective communication and practical approaches to development, with both teams working cohesively to optimize performance.
