Ashley Newgarden Pens "Goodnight Racetrack" Children's Book for Racing's Youngest Fans
The two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden's wife, Ashley Newgarden, has released her first children's book titled 'Goodnight Racetrack', becoming the second published author in the Newgarden family.

Woman holding IndyCar champion's book
Working alongside Red Racer Books founder Andy Amendola and illustrator Riley Girmann, Ashley created a bedtime story inspired by her experience reading to her son Kota. The book follows the pattern of the classic 'Goodnight Moon', taking young readers on a journey around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Book: Goodnight Racetrack
While Josef's previous book 'Josef's BIG Dream: An Indy 500 Story' targets 5-7 year olds, 'Goodnight Racetrack' aims to introduce younger children to racing through a rhythmic bedtime story format. Ashley notes that despite the existence of many 'Goodnight' themed books, there wasn't one for racetracks, making this a unique addition to children's racing literature.
The project has been particularly meaningful for Ashley, who worked on her husband's book before creating her own, describing the creative process as therapeutic and a welcome return to her creative pursuits while balancing motherhood.
