American Rising Star Jak Crawford Set for Formula E Rookie Test in Jeddah

American driver Jak Crawford, Colombian Tatiana Calderon, and Austrian Thomas Preining will participate in Formula E's upcoming rookie free practice session at the Jeddah E-Prix. The 40-minute session, known as "FP0," takes place on February 13 before the season's first doubleheader event.

Crawford, Andretti's reserve and development driver, returns to Formula E after participating in last season's Berlin rookie test. This will mark his first experience with the new GEN3 Evo cars. The Aston Martin F1 development program member brings experience from Formula 2, where he has secured two wins.

Calderon joins Lola Yamaha Abt following her previous Formula E experience with Maserati MSG Racing at the Jarama female driver test. She currently competes in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's GTD class.

Porsche factory driver Preining brings significant experience, including participation in the Berlin test, the 2020 Marrakesh rookie test, and a role as test driver in 2019-20. He claimed the DTM championship in 2023.
