Brogan Carder, a 14-year-old Sprint Car rookie from Sioux Falls, SD, joins the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour as a full-time driver for the 2025 season, piloting the family-owned Octane Ink, Kistler Engines-powered Schnee-Lawson Chassis No. 88.

Despite his young age, Carder brings four years of Outlaw Kart experience to his rookie Sprint Car season. He'll compete alongside fellow Rookie of the Year contenders Brady Baker and Garrett Benson, who's also 14.

"I'm not going out there to do anything special, it's mostly to get laps, experience, stuff that comes with time," Carder explains, acknowledging 2025 as a learning year.

His Sprint Car journey began last year with two POWRi 410 appearances before transitioning to ASCS 360 competition. Carder kicked off 2025 at Volusia Speedway Park and competed at Southern Raceway with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS), gaining valuable experience on different track types.

Racing alongside ASCS veterans like Seth Bergman, Sam Hafertepe Jr., and Matt Covington provides Carder with learning opportunities. "Watching their lines, how they set people up, how they move the wings in the middle of the race—it's all very valuable knowledge," he says.

Carder continues his Rookie of the Year campaign on Saturday, April 12, at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, OK. Fans can watch all races live on DIRTVision with a subscription.
