Will Buxton Takes Helm of FOX's New IndyCar Broadcast Team with Hinchcliffe and Bell
FOX Sports has unveiled its IndyCar Series broadcast team for the 2025 season, featuring Formula 1 veteran Will Buxton as the lead commentator, alongside experienced analysts James Hinchcliffe and Townsend Bell.

Blue-shirted man on racing track
Buxton, known for his extensive F1 and Formula 2 coverage, returns to FOX after 15 years, marking a significant shift to full-time IndyCar coverage. "To have the chance to tell their stories and call their races is a dream come true," Buxton expressed, acknowledging the responsibility of his new role.
Former IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe continues his broadcasting career, bringing contemporary racing insights to the commentary team. His existing chemistry with Townsend Bell, developed during their time at NBC, will transfer to the FOX broadcast booth.
Townsend Bell, who began his television career with FOX Sports' F1 coverage on SPEED Channel 21 years ago, completes the trio. His return to FOX creates what he describes as "a powerful combination" between the network and IndyCar.
The network plans to announce its pit lane reporting team in the coming weeks, as they prepare for their inaugural season of IndyCar Series coverage.
