United Autosports Claims LMP2 Victory at Rolex 24 Following Tower Motorsports' Technical Violation
United Autosports USA has inherited the LMP2 class victory at the 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona following a technical violation by Tower Motorsports. The winning team's No. 22 ORECA 07 was driven by Daniel Goldburg, Paul di Resta, Rasmus Lindh, and James Allen.

Race car during IMSA competition
Tower Motorsports, originally first, was demoted to last place in LMP2 after post-race inspection revealed their car's skid block exceeded the maximum allowable wear of five millimeters. Their subsequent protest was denied by IMSA.
The victory marks United Autosports' second major 24-hour race win in eight months, following their LMP2 class victory at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. For James Allen, this represents his second Daytona LMP2 win in three years, while teammates Goldburg, Di Resta, and Lindh secured their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victories.
Final LMP2 podium standings:
- 1st: No. 22 United Autosports ORECA 07
- 2nd: No. 74 Riley ORECA
- 3rd: No. 52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports
In a separate penalty, the No. 21 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 was relegated to last place in GTD class due to Stevan McAleer exceeding the maximum allowed driving time during a six-hour period overnight.
Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO, celebrated the win as particularly special, coming shortly after their Le Mans victory. The team's performance included securing pole position and maintaining a strong pace throughout the race, despite facing challenges including a controversial penalty during the event.
