TWG Global Launches New Motorsports Division with Five Major Racing Teams

TWG Global officially unveils TWG Motorsports, a new division created to unite multiple premier racing organizations under one umbrella. The initiative aims to drive competitive excellence and innovation across global motorsports.

The portfolio includes five prominent teams:

  • Cadillac Formula 1 Team (debuting 2026)
  • Andretti Global (IndyCar, Indy NXT, Formula E)
  • Spire Motorsports (NASCAR Cup and Truck Series)
  • Wayne Taylor Racing (IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship)
  • Walkinshaw Andretti United (Repco Supercars Championship)

Dan Towriss, CEO of Group 1001 Insurance, will lead TWG Motorsports as CEO. The company was established in late 2024 by TWG Global co-chairs Mark Walter and Thomas Tull.

"TWG Motorsports has the opportunity to drive true transformation in racing, set new standards for the industry and build a legacy of success across the globe," said Towriss, whose company currently manages over $66 billion in assets.

This expansion adds to TWG Global's existing sports portfolio, which includes:

  • Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB)
  • Chelsea Football Club
  • Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL)
  • Stakes in Los Angeles Lakers (NBA)
  • Stakes in Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA)

Note: Former Andretti Global CEO Michael Andretti is no longer involved with the team under the new structure.
